The Occasional Epicure

Occasional updates on my eating and cooking adventures...

Tuesday, April 18, 2006

Welcome, Courier-Mail readers!

The Occasional Epicure received a small mention in today's Courier-Mail "GoodLife" liftout! Welcome to my cosy - though occasionally neglected - Brisbane-based food blog.

For those who don't have access to the newspaper, here's the online version of the article, albeit without the "Essential reading" sidebar which included yours truly!

Stay tuned for a thrilling expose about Ginger Nut biscuits :) , but in the meantime, please stick around and check out some past highlights...

-- An adventure making Portuguese custard tarts

-- Brisbane Lions cupcakes - I might need to make these again this season if things don't start to improve soon!

-- Some yummy self-frosting cupcakes

-- An interesting sandwich combination for a French groom in Singapore

-- Dining at my favourite Sunnybank restaurant

Thanks again for visiting, and I hope you enjoy discovering the tasty world of food blogs!

I've just read through your whole blog, and it's great. It does make me miss living in Brisbane though, especially when I see your ginormous sunflowers.

    Hi There

I just stumbled upon your blog and think it is an excellent read for foodies and especially like the photos and design of the blog.I started off as a blogger myself and realise the importance of a good clean design like you have here. I have now bookmarked it for myself to read and have added you to our new list of "all the food blogs in the world" on www.ifoods.tv which we have been compiling for the last month! Hopefully it will send you some traffic in the long run. Looking forward to reading your thoughts on food so keep up the good work and talk soon. Cheers

    Hi Kelly

I tried your email address here and it bounced :( so i thought i would do it this way :)

We are a Newly opened gourmet cupcake vendor here in Brisbane supplying deliciously tasty, visually stunning cupcakes to all those cupcake fans out there. We know how much everyone loves cupcakes, but some cupcakes on the market are just not up to the delicious standards of Ambrosia Cupcakes.

We could go on and on and tell you how great they are, but we know how busy you are and the proof is really in the tasting of our gorgeous cupcakes, so we'd love to send you a fantastically delicious sample tray to show you just how good they are.

If you really love them, then maybe you might even post something about us to all your followers?

You can check us out at http://www.ambrosiacupcakes.com.au

If you’re interested, just let us know where to send our cupcake care package and we’ll get it straight out to you.

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Thanks

    Greg

I've used many different courier services in the 15 years I've been working with my office. But none of the others beats them! They are professional, super-fast, extremely reliable and a friendly group of people to do business with.
